LOCAL RESTAURANTS SHINE DURING DINELA EVENT City Tavern and Border Grill are just two restaurants offering exclusive deals for foodies during the dineLA event. Executive chef Jonathan Moulton said City Tavern's dineLA menu includes a New York strip steak, Panko-crusted fish and chips and roasted half chicken with a lemon pan sauce. There are also dineLA-exclusive desserts like cream puffs and root beer floats. Now onto another downtown spot - Border Grill. Chef and owner Susan Feniger says dineLA is a great way for out-of-towners and locals to explore restaurants. Caribbean carpaccio is something you won't find on Border Grill's regular menu. The dineLA-exclusive dish includes thin-cut halibut seasoned with salt, olive oil and the restaurant's special sauce, topped with a refreshing salad of celery, onion, lime and fried yams.
